Transitioning from Summer to Fall
Fall is so close, I can smell it.
I don’t know where you live but here in southern Texas it’s still h-o-t. This 90-something degree weather plus humidity makes it hard to dress in those cute long sleeves and sweaters that are calling my name. Thankfully there are a lot of great ways that allow me dress in fall fashion without being dressed too warm.
Cardigans.
Cardigans are a great way to get the cozy, fall feel without it being too warm. You can layer it over a tank and a pair of shorts (or jeans!).Knit Tops.
Knit tops are lightweight, breathable and don’t cling yet have all the fall vibes.Fall Colors.
There are so many amazing tops out there that have all the beautiful fall hues that are going to be big this year but are still short sleeved, blousy and warm weather appropriate.How You Dress.
Eyeing a light weight long sleeve, thermal or a button down? Pair if with a pair of shorts and booties.
Have a pair of pants you desperately want to wear? Pair it with a a tank or bodysuit and strappy heels.Dresses and Skirts
Lots of options. You can pair one of your favorites with a pair of boots or booties and throw a denim jacket or cardigan over it for chilly mornings and nights. Purchase one that is made out of corduroy, suede or even leather and like above, you can easily wear a long sleeve or light weight sweater with a skirt, or throw one over a dress it make it appear like a skirt!
Do you have a hard time dressing in the summer to fall transition?
Shirt: Is true to size. I’m wearing a size small but tried on the medium as well, just to see. This color is no longer available but it does come in a gorgeous olive color.
Bralette: Wearing size small. Besides it being pretty, it has great coverage, is slightly padded (they can be removed!) and can be made into a racerback with the built in clasp on the back straps. It is a smooth lace, so other than the seam going down the middle of each pad, the lace doesn't show through what you are wearing.
Pants: Wearing size small. They are a loose fit through the rear and thigh but true to size in the waist. They are no longer available on Nordstrom but you can find them on sale here.
Shoes: Are old but these ones are similar!
Earrings: Comes in two colors and they are very lightweight! I don’t heavy earrings and these are not heavy to me at all.
