Our Favorite Apps
Just because something doesn’t do what you planned it to do doesn’t mean it’s useless.”
— Thomas Edison

I have so many apps on my phone and while I wish I could say that I utilize most of them, I have to be honest, most of them go untouched for long periods of time. Here are a few that I “tap” into more frequently than others, that have benefited me in some way shape, or form, or I thought might make your life a little easier!

BABY:

  • The Wonder Weeks - It gives you alerts when a new leap is going to be happening as well as an overview of a leap chart, gives you personalized schedules, can track milestones, white noise, and music, HD baby monitor, etc.

  • Baby Sparks - support early development through meaningful play. They have tons of videos, articles, and tips. Every day you’ll receive 8-10 activities to support critical areas of your child’s development. You can also focus on specific needs.

  • Huckleberry - It’s an app that pairs pediatric sleep experts with AI to create a custom sleep plan with you and your family in mind. In the beginning, you track, then they learn, taking in your child’s habits, developmental stages, etc. and then you get the analysis.

KIDS:

MONEY Earning from shopping

  • Drop - Use my Code 0y8bl for $5 when you sign up (no strings attached!). Make an account, selected a few places that you frequently shop at from their list (Target, Trader Joe’s, Starbucks, etc), link up a card, and earn points from shopping at those places which can eventually be redeemed for gift cards.

  • Fetch - Use my code MF8RA for 2,000 points when you scan your first receipt. Simply scan your receipts and you’ll get points that can eventually be turned into gift cards.

  • Ibotta - Use my code ttvjpct when you sign up. Scroll through the retailers to see which items you can earn money back, add offers to your account, and scan receipt to get those offers. Those offers can eventually be turned into gift cards or even cash!

  • Merryfield - Earn points through digital or paper receipts on “clean” and “better for you” products and brands such as: Lesser Evil, Rao’s Homemade, Applegate, Bob’s Red Mill, Califia Farms, Justin’s, Beyond Meat and so many more. Those rewards are turned into giftcards.

  • Honey - price history (great for when shopping on Amazon), savings finder, coupons, and earn “gold” that you can redeem for gift cards.

PHOTOS/VIDEO Editing

  • PicsArt - so many fun photo editing options

  • Tezza - edit photos and videos

  • VSCO - edit photos and videos

  • In Shot - edit photos and videos

FOOD

  • Kptncook - healthy, easy meal recipes. Step by step instructions and inspiration. Takes the question out of “What’s for dinner” as well as getting you to step out of your comfort zone and try new foods and ingredients.

  • Yummly- learns what you like and customizes recipes to your taste, skill level, and nutritional needs.

  • BigOven - allows you to create a meal plan and grocery list. They even have an option where you can write in your “leftovers” and it will help generate recipes that revolve around them - use up leftovers and reduce waste.

  • NYT Cooking - recipes, videos, techniques, and tips to help both novices and master chefs achieve success.

    RELATIONSHIP

  • Card Decks - Lots of different categories to choose from. Asks a lot of open-ended questions to get to learn more about each other, build intimacy and connect emotionally

  • Happy Couple - I have had this one downloaded for many years but have not utilized it, but if you like the one above this one a shot! It’s similar only you can create quizzes to help find out more about each other and how you think and feel.

  • Love Nudge - helps you to put the concepts of the 5 Love Languages into action. You set up goals, nudges, activities as well as you can find out how full your partner’s love tank is.
